I love to organize things and set goals to accomplish. However, I have found that I have become less than stellar at doing these things since I have moved and don't have a job to occupy my time. And as a result, I am now less than stellar at accomplishing anything. So when I became a Pinterest junkie I naturally started my own organization board and began pinning things to it. When I decided that I needed an intervention ( see previous post ) I started off with a pin from Cornflower Blue Studio ( http://cornflowerbluestudio.blogspot.com/2012/02/diy-rotating-goal-list.html .)

I liked how easy it is to make, display, and reuse this goal list. With it being displayed prominently in my "Command Center" I then would have a daily reminder of my goals. I didn't have to constantly be relying on that list that I made on the back side of that receipt that I had and that I stashed somewhere! Seriously, that is how unplanned this planner had become.
But I wanted to add to it a bit of my own flair - which of course has to include purple.
The post says to use a heavy cardstock or Bristol board but I used poster board instead as I could easily get it large enough, I wouldn't have even more paper, and the Dollar Store had sheets of it for only 50 cents.
Otherwise, I followed the dimensions list on the blog and got this:
I am not uber fond of how it came out as seeing the word "Goals" is a bit difficult. I regularly forget how difficult it is to see letters on patterned papers if not large enough. Otherwise, I like it.
And as you can see, I already have put it into action. And finished one project! Of course, I did have 5 others planned for this week.....one of which included this blog, so I am getting there.
Then I got to thinking about the post-it note pad I had just lying around without its own spot. Yes! I needed a magnetic holder for the post-its so that I didn't have to go searching for them. I had pinned a Post-It Present from Paper Wings on my Gift Ideas board but thought it would do nicely provided I altered it a little by using a magnetic frame instead one of the standing versions.

Naturally, the dollar store provided it for a very minimal fee. And using the same color scheme/paper as for the goal list, I made this:
Of course, I only had the post-its that were designed to be used in a dispenser so they kept falling down. I just added a rubber band to hold them in place until I get others.Looking back now, I think I would have chosen to make them a little more matchy, matchy but they still go well together. Now lets see if it gets used properly! I suspect that it will.
